If you are planning a trip to the Bronte Farmer's Market this Sunday, bring two bags.
One bag filled with any winter coats, hats, gloves and boots, in good condition you don't need. The other to be filled with fruit, vegetables, bake goods, crafts and so much more from the vendors.
The Bronte Village Coat Drive and BIA are hosting a fill the Big Yellow Chair with Winter Wear. Every coat and item donated will go to someone in need in Oakville and Halton.
Sadly, Oakville has the highest levels of childhood poverty in Halton Region. Last year we had well over 1000 people come to our distribution day in less than 4 hours. People lined up 2 hours before we opened our doors.
The Coat Drive is part of Bronte's Roots and its volunteers are your neighbours. We have done this for over 10 years collecting and donating over 10,000 coats.
