Donations needed for SafetyNet-Oakville

My son and I met Bill Shields probably about when he was 7 years old and he is now 21.

My son starting going to Safetynet for the FREE tutoring they offered as he was struggling in school.  As a single mom this was a huge support to me.

I really wish more people would donate to Safetynet rather than groups/stores that sell the donated clothing/items they receive because at Safetynet everything is given to those in the community for FREE.

One of the big things Safetynet helps is those looking to get back into the workforce; offering free clothing to dress up for your interviews and more.  They also do a lot to provide FREE diapers for those in need.

There is so much that I can say about the positive benefits of what Safetynet offers the community and how many people and families they have helped over the years; including food support and help at Christmas time.

This is a very supportive and giving charity.

If you can help purchase a backpack or water bottles please think of helping out this phenomenal organization.

❓ Did you know ❓

Local charities work together to share lists of families requesting backpacks—so every child gets the help they need without duplication.

That means these families are relying on us, with many having 4 or more kids in school. Safetynet doesn't stop there - every year we offer free one-on-one tutoring free of charge to registered families.

Our most needed items:
Gender-neutral backpacks
Water bottles 💧
Lunch bags 🥪

You can make a difference—donate today and help a child start the school year ready to learn! ✏️📚
