You spent years being the one who made things easy for everyone else. Always the understanding one. The forgiving one. The one who swallowed her truth just to keep the peace.
But peace built on pretending never lasts.
At some point, your body starts rejecting every version of you that isn’t real.
You’re not distant. You’re just done performing for love.
You’ve stopped explaining, stopped overgiving, stopped chasing the version of connection that costs you yourself.
Now you move slower.
You speak when it feels true.
You rest when you’re tired.
And you no longer apologize for needing space.
That’s not distance. That’s what it looks like when a woman reconnects with her soul.

The moment you start saying NO to what drains you, you start saying a powerful YES to who you truly are.

We get so used to wanting more that we forget how much we already have.
Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect. It’s about seeing what’s real, what’s steady, what’s quietly supporting you.
Peace doesn’t come from getting everything you want.
It comes from finally noticing what’s already here.

Yesterday, I spent 24 hours in silence with one of my favourite people: me.
No phone. No talking. No photos. Just stillness.
For the first time in 57 years, I gave myself a full day of peace, alone with nature and deeply connected to myself. I walked 17 km, meditated, journaled, and read, listening not to noise but to the quiet voice within.
In that silence, I felt something extraordinary.
Love. Gratitude. And oneness.
I saw myself with softer eyes.
Not as someone who needs to do or become more,
as someone already enough, already beautiful, already whole. I say this with humility, not pride, in awe of what silence allowed me to see.
When we talk about connection, we often think of other people. But there’s something magical that happens when you connect within, with nature, and with Source.
It’s a kind of connection that heals and grounds you, and we often forget how powerful it is.
By the end of the day, I realized something I had never truly felt before:
I AM one of my favourite people.
Being completely by yourself, disconnected from the world and every screen, can feel uncomfortable at first.
But it’s in that quiet that you remember who you are, and how whole you’ve been all along.
If this spoke to you, follow @duniaforwomen for more reminders to reconnect with your soul.

Said no when my body screamed for it.
Stopped saying yes out of guilt.
Stopped explaining myself to people who only heard what fit their comfort.
Set boundaries before I burned out.
I kept calling it love when it was really fear.
Fear of disappointing people.
Fear of being misunderstood.
Fear of being alone.
But peace doesn’t come from keeping everyone happy.
It comes from finally choosing yourself, even when it feels uncomfortable.
You don’t lose people when you protect your peace.
You lose the ones who needed your silence more than your truth.
And that’s not loss. That’s alignment.
That’s what happens when you stop performing and start honoring what your soul’s been asking for all along.
✨
I wish I did this sooner. But I’m doing it now

Have you been here 👇
1️⃣ Nodding along when you want to speak up and then feeling invisible.
2️⃣ Holding your truth inside because you’re scared of “too much.”
Don’t forget to follow @duniaforwomen 🌹
3️⃣ Letting other people’s comfort weigh more than your own expression.
4️⃣ Writing the perfect response in your head… but never saying it out loud.
5️⃣ Calling it “keeping the peace” when really you’re erasing yourself.
